Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra was founded as a unitary residential University on January 11, 1957. The foundation stone was laid by the late Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the First President of India. The University has 457 affiliated colleges and institutes in various districts. It is a public university approved by the University Grants Commission.
Campus
Situated on the western bank of the holy Brahmsarover in Kurukshetra, Haryana, the University campus covers 400 acres of land. It is well-connected by road and rail transportation, located just 5 km away from the Kurukshetra Railway Station.

Programs
Kurukshetra University offers admissions to various UG, PG, and other courses in fields like law, pharmacy, etc. The Department of Law at the university offers three years LLB, two years LLM, and Ph.D. in Law programs. There are 180 seats available for the LLB program and 30 seats for the LLM program. Some of the most sought-after courses include LLB, LLM, Ph.D., B.Pharma, M.Pharma, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

Admission
Admission to LLB and LLM courses is based on the entrance exam conducted by the University. Candidates applying for the LLB program must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree and secure a minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate (40% for SC/ST category). Completion of the LLB degree examination from a recognized university is also required.
