UG Panjab University Criteria for Eligibility

Students must have a 10+2 level with PCM subjects combination from a recognised board to be eligible for B.E courses.
Students must pass the 10+2 level with 50 percent marks in aggregate to be eligible for B.Ed, BCA, BBA, B.Sc, B.P.Ed, B.A + B.Ed, and BHMCT.
Students for B.Ed and LLB must have completed a graduation degree from a recognised university.
 

 

Panjab University Undergraduate Admissions Process

Candidates must obtain a qualified score in JEE Main to be admitted to B.E.
Students interested in B.Ed., B.Com, B.P.Ed, B.A B.Ed, and B.Com LLB must take an entrance or aptitude test administered by the university.
Students pursuing B.Sc. or B.Pharma must have a valid PU-CET score (UG).
Applicants for LLB and BHMCT must have qualified PU LLB and PUTHAT scores.

Eligibility Criteria for Panjab University Postgraduate Studies

Students must have a graduation degree in relevant subjects from a recognised university to be eligible for PG courses.
M.Ed. and M.PEd students must have a graduation grade point average of 50% from a recognised university.

Panjab University PG Admissions Procedure

To be eligible for M.A., M.Sc., M.Ed, M.P.Ed, MPH, and M.E programmes, applicants must pass the university’s CET-PG with qualifying marks.
Students must pass the MET with a qualified score in order to be admitted to an MBA programme.
Candidates for MCA and LLM must pass the PU-CET entrance exam.
Students must obtain a qualified NEET MDS score in order to be admitted to MDS.
Students must obtain a qualified GATE score in order to be admitted to M.Tech.
The university accepts qualified CLAT scores for LLM.

Eligibility Criteria for Panjab University’s PhD and M.Phil Programs

Admission will be based on a written test administered by the university, with final selection based on an interview session.

A graduation degree from a recognised university is required for a PG Diploma.
Applicants must have completed a Diploma course in relevant subjects to be eligible for an Advanced Diploma.

The candidate must ensure that the eligibility criteria for the course they are applying for are met. The candidate must fill out the PU CET 2023 application form online and then print it.

Application Fee for PU CET 2023

Candidates in the General Category must pay INR 2175.
Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/PWD) must pay INR 1088.
 
A fee of INR 575 is required for each subject (both general and reserved).
 
Candidates can pay the fee online (via credit card, debit card, or net banking) or offline (SBI eChallan).

Eligibility Criteria for PU CET 2023

Before applying for the PU CET 2023, candidates should be aware of the following eligibility requirements:
 
Candidates must have passed or appeared in the 10+2 Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, or any equivalent exam administered by a recognised board or university, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as subjects.
 
Note: Candidates who have passed or appeared in the 10+2 Examinations of Mahila Gram Vidyapeeth, Allahabad, are not eligible to take the PU CET (BHMS) Entrance Test, as this institution will be de-recognized by Punjab University, Chandigarh. Candidates can find a complete list of recognised universities on the PU CET UG official website.
 
Candidates must be Indian citizens. Foreign citizens will be able to apply through the NRI quota.
To be eligible to apply for the PU CET 2023, candidates must be 17 years old as of December 31, 2023.

Candidates for the PU CET PG 2023 must meet the following eligibility requirements:

The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination (bachelor’s degree program or equivalent from a recognized university) for a specific course with a minimum of 50 percent -55 percent marks (depending on the course). Candidates who are in their final year and taking their qualifying exams are also eligible to apply for PU CET PG 2023, provided they pass their qualifying exams by the time of admission.
 
Candidates can visit the Punjab University official website for more information on the eligibility criteria for both the PU CET UG 2023 and the PU CET PG 2023.
 
Seats will be reserved for candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Persons with Disability (PWD), and other categories as determined by the Chandigarh Administration or Punjab University, Chandigarh.
 
The following eligibility criteria will apply to Physically Handicapped candidates:
 
Candidates with Locomotor disabilities of the lower limbs ranging from 50% to 70% are given first priority.
2nd preference – Candidates with Locomotor Disabilities of the Lower Limbs ranging from 40% to 50%
 
Candidates who are blind (including color blindness) or deaf and dumb will not be able to take the PU CET 2023.

(c) A graduate with Honours in Economics or Mathematics or Statistics or Commerce with not less than 45% marks in the aggregate OR
(d) A graduate with 50% marks in the aggregate having offered Economics Mathematics Statistics Commerce Computer Applications or Computer Sciences as a subject in the examination:
Provided that in case of candidates having Bachelor degree of the University through Modern Indian Languages (Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi (Gurmukhi Script) and/or in a Classical Language (Sanskrit/Persian/Arabic) or degree of any other University obtained in the same manner recognised by the Syndicate 50% marks in the aggregate shall be calculated by taking into account full percentage of marks in all the papers in Language excluding the additional optional paper English and the elective subject taken together OR
(e) A pass in the final examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or The Institute of Company Secretaries of India OR
(f) Graduate from any other stream not covered in (a) to (f) above with not less than 60% marks in the aggregate
(g) A candidate who has passed Bachelor of Vocational(Banking Insurance & Retailing) and Bachelor of Vocational (Retail Management) be given admission in the Master of Commerce Course as it has already been approved by the UGC
